Rebecca Parris
at
Steamers Cafe
Fullerton, California
"Orange County's
Premier Jazz Club"

Rebecca has some new jazz fans in Orange County and was thrilled to see her
old friends in attendance at what is now one of her favorite clubs on the West
Coast - Steamers. Steamers is located in Fullerton, Orange County and what a
hip club. Owned & operated by Terence Love, it is a great jazz venue, complete
with an appreciative audience.

Rebecca's gig on May 16 was her first at Steamers and she had a ball. She
had a dynamite trio, the Dave Mackay trio, comprised of Dave on piano (see below), Richard Simon on bass and David Dirge on drums. Terence even came to Rebecca's rescue with a fan to cool her off while on stage. Northeasterners do have a tough
time with the California heat!

Steamers has a great groove, a wonderful menu, good sound system and an audience that listens to the music - please support this great club and live jazz music.

Wow!I would imagine that this is a typical reaction to those who have not experienced Rebecca Parris live. I own Steamers Cafe in Fullerton, Ca and we're the largest jazz club in Orange County and have the most aggressive jazz schedule in all of Southern California, and I just have to say this to anyone who reads this post (I'm sure they're all fans, anyway ....) You can quote me on this.......

"Rebecca Parris at Steamers, hands down, the best live jazz vocal performance I've ever experienced" (And by the way, I've seen Ella, I've seen Carmen) This woman swings, sways, and belts it out like there is no tomorrow. Perfect intonation, vibrato, articulation, phrasing, and rhythm. Youz Boston area folks are lucky people. You get to enjoy talent like that locally and often. I'm so impressed.....
