During our tenure together, Rebecca Parris has amassed seven albums
with 9 awards from the Boston Music Awards.
She has been presented in major venues and festivals across the
United States and abroad, including main stages at
Monterey, Oslo, North Sea, Japan, Spain, and London.

In addition to touring for the past decade as a solo artist,
she has performed and shared the stage with an impressive list of  jazz greats
including Dizzy Gillespie, The Count Basie, Woody Herman, Gunther Schuller Orchestras, Buddy Rich, Joe Williams, Shirley Horn and others.

Watching Rebecca perform in these settings is more than going to a club to hear "good music". She is a gifted and accomplished performer,
embracing the audience with her engaging and passionate vocals,
witty humor, and the ability to leave people with a sense that they have truly been touched by the lyrical delivery of her ballads,
and the spirit of her skillful and versatile standards.

As A Teacher ...

Rebecca also can combine performances with clinic work, as she holds seminars, master classes and clinics around the country.
The first things one notices about REBECCA PARRIS as clinician are her
vibrant honesty and her love for sharing her experience. Expertly
versed in technique, performance and business, she guides the student
through what actually awaits them as a hopeful professional.

As A Coach ...

Private coaching sessions and master classes with soloists are hands-on,
thought provoking and creative,
bringing the student to a clearer understanding of :

How to Approach Repertoire, personalizing it
to present a truly individualized fashion,

The Importance of Lyric Delivery,
Motivation,
Audience Communication,
Body Language,
Scat & Improvisation.

Vocal Ensembles will learn blend, dynamics, enunciation, and how to
perceive the group as a single, breathing being.

As A Lecturer ...

Her lectures are innovative, often beginning with a question and answer period to spur the motion of the seminar.
While most clinicians and lecturers stay within the boundaries of scholastics, Ms. Parris can expand the vision of the assembly into areas not often discussed in the classroom ...
the realities of life in the industry and on the road.

Any student or teacher can benefit greatly from an association with
REBECCA PARRIS. She is truly a supportive individual often offering
personal contact long after the personal contact of the school environment.

An excellent addition to any music department program, Ms. Parris
defends music and arts education eloquently and passionately. Her
politics concerning keeping music in public schools never waivers and
she is publicly vocal across the country in her support of your
programs and your instructors.

This is not your average lecturer / clinician. She is a personality, a
natural, a born teacher.
You cannot make a better choice than REBECCA PARRIS.
